Requirement

 (Hong Kong Mastercard Principal Membership): HK Entity 

  • The local Hong Kong entity can either be a parent company or a subsidiary entity
  • If the local Hong Kong entity is a subsidiary entity, it must be part of the same Group entity that the CaaS client wish to issue cards from; and
  • The local Hong Kong subsidiary entity must be 100% beneficially-owned by the parent company of the same Group.

The Hong Kong entity is not required to have:

  • Any employees;
  • Any physical office or space. A local registered office is sufficient; or
  • Any regulatory licenses.

    1. What are the KYC requirements for card issuance?

    We assist Hong Kong–registered companies in applying for corporate cards. Full KYC requirements apply.
    Services cannot be provided to entities or users associated with sanctioned countries or regions.

    2. What types of cards can be issued?

    Both physical and virtual cards are supported.
    Please refer to the pricing schedule or contact our advisor for detailed quotations.

    3. Where can the cards be used?

    Except for sanctioned countries or regions, the cards can be used in all countries and regions that accept Mastercard.
    Both online and offline transactions are supported.

    4. Is a reserve deposit required? How does the model work?

    Yes. A reserve deposit is required after the account is successfully opened.
    The cards operate on a prepaid model. The deposited amount equals the available balance.

    5. Are there any requirements for cardholders?

    Applicants must not be Chinese nationals.
    All applications are subject to compliance review.

    6. What BIN options are available?

    Both Shared BIN and Dedicated BIN options are available, depending on business scale and operational needs.

    7. Is card customization supported?

    Yes, subject to Mastercard brand guidelines.
    All designs must be submitted for Mastercard approval. Additional design and submission fees will apply.
    Fees and timeline can be confirmed upon consultation.

    8. How long does account opening take?

    The estimated onboarding timeline is approximately two months.
